Insurance
SLO Mama Birth Services is an approved provider for Cen-Cal Health. If you have Cen-Cal and maintain it throughout your pregnancy, the birth doula package is completely covered by your insurance. This mean ZERO out of pocket costs for you.
SLO Mama Birth Services is in the process of becoming a Tri Care provider. Tri-Care fully covers the basic birth doula package.
Many private insurance companies have also begun to offer doula benefits. Inquire with your insurance provider if doula benefits are included in your plan. Typically, with private insurance, you pay the doula fee out of pocket directly to the doula, and then you will be provided a super bill that you submit to your insurance for reimbursement.
Unfortunately, insurance does not cover massage services and they must be paid out of pocket.

Payment Plans
A $200 deposit is required to secure your booking. You then have the option to pay the full fee up front, or follow a monthly payment plan. Payment plans are developed by dividing the rest of the cost over the amount of months left before your due date. Your monthly payment will be due the first of every month, and will need to be paid in full prior to the start of the on-call period (two weeks before your due date).
Postpartum doula packages must be purchased in 6 hour increments and there are no payment plans available at this time for this package.

Flexible Spending Accounts
Some flexible spending accounts will allow you to use your funds towards doula services. If you are interested in using flex spending account funds, you will pay for services up front. I will then provide you with a superbill after services are completed to submit to your FSA for reimbursement.
